COMPETITION RULES 2008

 

1.          MEMBERS ARE ONLY ALLOWED TO ENTER THEIR OWN NAME PLUS ONE OTHER ON THE BALLOT SHEET

 

2.          MEMBERS MUST PLAY AS BALLOTED – ONCE BALLOTED FOR A COMPETITION MEMBERS CANNOT CHANGE TIME FOR THAT COMPETITION.

 

 

3.          MEMBERS WHO ARE IN THE BALLOT AND ARE SUBSEQUENTLY UNABLE TO PLAY MUST PUT THEIR NAME ON THE WITHDRAWAL SHEET. IF WITHDRAWING ON COMPETITION DAY YOU MUST CONTACT THE STARTER PRIOR TO YOUR TEE-OFF TIME. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THIS RULE WILL RESULT IN SUSPENSION FROM THE NEXT TWO COMPETITIONS.

 

4.          MEMBERS WHO ARE NOT IN THE BALLOT AND WISH TO TAKE A VACANT TIME SHOULD ENTER THEIR NAME AND REQUIRED TIME ON THE RESERVE LIST. ON THE DAY OF THE COMPETITION CONTACT THE STARTER.

 

 

5.          ENTRY FEES FOR ALL COMPETITIONS (DOMESTIC & EXTERNAL) MUST BE PAID BY THE STIPULATED DATE

 

6.          MATCHPLAY TIES MUST BE PLAYED BY THE STIPULATED DATE. NO EXTENSIONS WILL BE GIVEN

 

7.          PLAYERS IN ALL MATCHPLAY COMPETITIONS SHALL BE EQUALLY RESPONSIBLE TO AGREE DATES FOR TIES TO BE PLAYED.IF NO DATE CAN BE AGREED THEN BOTH TEAMS WILL BE SCRATCHED - AT THE DISCRETION OF THE MATCH COMMITTEE

 

8.          WINNERS OF MATCH PLAY TIES MUST ENSURE THAT THEIR NAME(S) ARE PUT FORWARD BY DUE DATE. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION.

 

9.          IN ALL COMPETITIONS USING A STARTER, COMPETITORS MUST CHECK IN AT LEAST 15 MINUTES PRIOR TO THEIR TEE-OFF TIME.

 

 

10.      ALL COMPETITIONS  MEDAL AND MATCHPLAY MUST COMMENCE FROM THE FIRST TEE. THE ONLY EXCEPTION WILL BE A SHOTGUN START. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION.
